Both halves of the job.

Most freelance developers can't run a project to time and budget. Most project managers can't build. The whole point of Talon Insights is that you get both in one person — and that person is the one you met on day one.

Talon Insights is my full-time work. Behind it sit four years running projects, including in the defence manufacturing sector — where scope, evidence and deadlines are not negotiable — and an APM Level 4 Associate Project Manager qualification, passed with Distinction. Alongside that I've been writing software since school: today that means Supabase backends, Three.js, Firebase and Stripe, shipped through a GitHub and Vercel pipeline. I'm also completing a BSc in Computer Science alongside client work.

Before this I built and ran Talon Detailing to full booking capacity — including its own multi-step booking and payment system with an admin dashboard — and then closed it deliberately when the commercial case changed. I build businesses, not just websites, and I know when a decision is the right one.

It's just me. That's the point. Nothing is handed to a junior, nothing goes offshore, and when you ring, the person who answers is the person who built it.

• Face to face first. The first meeting is at your premises, always. That's the Groundwork Visit.
• Everything in writing. Scope, price, dates, exclusions — before work starts.
• Plain English. If I can't explain a technical choice in one sentence you'd repeat to a mate, I don't get to make it.
• You own everything. Domain, code, content — on full payment, no hostages.
• I reply within one working day. Every time.
