What I collect, and when
The only personal information this site collects is what you choose to send through the enquiry form: your name, your business name, a phone number or email address, and whatever you tell me about your project. There are no accounts, no sign-ups and no mailing lists.
If you phone or email me directly, I’ll hold the details you give me the same way — to deal with your enquiry and nothing else.
Why I use it
To reply to you, arrange a call or a visit, and put together a scope and a price if we get that far. That’s the whole list. The lawful basis is that you’ve asked me to — taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and my legitimate interest in answering people who contact me. I don’t use your details for marketing, and I don’t sell or share them with anyone for their own purposes.
Where it goes
A few services help run this site, and each handles some data as part of doing its job:
Formspree processes the enquiry form and forwards what you submit to my email. Vercel hosts the site, and like any web host keeps standard server logs (such as IP addresses) for security and reliability. Google Fonts serves the site’s typefaces, which means your browser requests the font files from Google’s servers when a page loads. None of these are given your form details for their own use.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. It uses one small piece of browser storage — a flag that prevents an old redirect from looping — which contains nothing personal and never leaves your browser.
How long I keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as it takes to deal with them, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back. If we work together, your details become part of normal business records and are kept for as long as the law requires. If you’d like an enquiry deleted sooner, ask and I’ll do it.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask me for a copy of the personal information I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to or restrict how it’s used, and ask for it in a portable format. Email me and I’ll sort it — there’s no form or process, it’s one person reading one inbox.
If you’re not happy with how I’ve handled your information, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If how this site handles information changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top tells you when.
