Talon Insights ("I", "me") is a sole trader based in Telford, Shropshire, building websites and software for businesses. This policy explains what personal data I collect through this website and how I handle it, in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What I collect

• Enquiry details. If you use the contact form or email me: your name, business name, contact details, and whatever you write in your message.
• Basic analytics. Aggregate visit statistics (pages viewed, approximate location, device type). No advertising trackers, no selling of data.

Why, and on what basis

• To reply to your enquiry and discuss work — legitimate interest.
• To deliver contracted work — performance of a contract.
• To keep business records — legal obligation.

What I don't do

• No selling or renting of your data. Ever.
• No marketing lists — you won't get a newsletter you didn't ask for.
• No sharing with third parties beyond the service providers that make the site and email run (hosting, form handling), each bound by their own data-processing terms.

Retention

Enquiries that don't lead to work are deleted within 12 months. Client records are kept for 6 years, as required for tax purposes.

Your rights

You can ask what I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to my holding it at all. Email __EMAIL__ and I'll respond within one month. If you're unhappy with how I handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
