What exactly is a Groundwork Visit?

A fixed-price visit to your premises. I walk the business with you, work out what's actually needed, and write you a short scope and recommendation. It's £350–£500 depending on distance and size, and it comes off the project price in full if you go ahead. Full details here.

Do I own the site and the code?

Yes. Your domain, your code, your content — transferred to you on full payment. I keep my own pre-existing frameworks and libraries, which is standard, but the thing built for you is yours to take anywhere.

Is it really just you?

Yes. Nothing is handed to a junior and nothing is sent offshore. The person who quotes the job is the person who builds it and the person who picks up the phone afterwards.

I'm not technical. Is that a problem?

No — that's most of my clients. I'll explain what I'm recommending and why, in plain English, and I'll tell you when you don't need something.
